About Our Foundation
The Cameron Steinberg Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of Cameron Morgan Steinberg by advancing innovation, education, and support in congenital heart care. Through community-driven fundraising and strategic partnerships with leading pediatric hospitals, the foundation supports programs that improve training, awareness, and outcomes for children born with complex heart conditions.

Cameron Steinberg
Cameron Morgan Steinberg was born on September 24, 2018 with a severe congenital heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Essentially, she was born with half of a heart and would have needed a series of open-heart surgeries as a baby to survive.
Unfortunately, Cameron’s lungs were too sick for the necessary heart surgeries, and she lost her battle with HLHS on November 23, 2018.
Although her time with us was brief, Cameron’s strength and spirit continue to inspire meaningful impact. Her legacy lives on through initiatives that help clinicians better understand and treat congenital heart disease, ensuring that more children and families receive the highest level of care.
The Steinbergs
The foundation is led by Cameron’s parents, Sam and Melissa Steinberg, alongside their family and a community of supporters who believe in turning loss into purpose. What began as a way to honor Cameron has grown into a shared mission to create lasting change, support families navigating congenital heart disease, and celebrate the power of community.
